90-days Coding Challenge: halfway mark!

This is my first blog post. I would like to dedicate this to the 90-days coding challenge which I have created for myself.

It has been 45-days streak on GitHub. I have written a meaningful piece of code everyday. Even on those days when I was having my second year’s final semester’s exams or when I was ill.

These 45-days -Open Source journey has been amazing! I have developed a lot as a coder. When I started I only knew Python. After the 45-days journey I have learnt Java, Scala and advanced python. I have also implemented some algorithms and data structures in these languages.

These 45-days were totally unplanned, the sole focus was to develop the habit of coding everyday. Apart from this I wrote many other codes for the company in which I am interning in. After these 45-days I feel more confident as a computer programmer.

In my next blog post I will share with you the plan with which I will be proceeding to 90-days mark.

Are you willing to take the challenge? Reach me out then… Let’s do this together!

  1. Hey, It is good to see you achieving this streak, even I struggling to get started with open source contribution, would love get some guidelines from you.

    1. Hey Sachin, I mostly have worked on my own repositories. Do you know git? If not, codecademy has a course which you should do once. This course will hardly take you 3-4 hours to finish. Then you can search some repositories and projects on sites like GitHub, even a simple search like “Python” will give you list of many repositories and projects available. Then try to commit to the repositories you like. If you want you can start with my repositories as well! I hope I was able to help.. fire all queries which you have at me, I’d love to answer! 🙂

  2. Hi Vipul,

    Great work there!
Even i am getting started with open source java projects. Would like to try a challenge like this. Please share some beginner git java projects if you know.
